Individualized Support
Feedings are not only important for an infant’s nutritional needs, but also for optimal growth and development. Whether breast or bottle feeding, many parents worry about their infant’s intake and weight gain. Feeding your infant should be a wonderful bonding experience, however, for some families it can be a very isolating and stressful time.
Feeding and nutrition is something that impacts us throughout our lifespan and there are many factors that can influence our feeding patterns. It is important to us to help you identify the root cause of your infant's feeding difficulties and help you develop a plan. Our mission is to provide individualized support with a wholistic approach and an emphasis on optimal neurological and oral development.
Hi,
My name is Kimberly Wand. I am a speech-language pathologist, certified lactation counselor, mama, and the owner of Feeding Tiny Tots. I began my career as a speech-language pathologist over 10 years ago and have worked in a variety of settings, including: the school system, private practice, outpatient clinic, pediatric acute care and have spent the last 4 years working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). During my time in the NICU, my desire to help breastfeeding moms grew leading me to become a certified lactation counselor. Throughout my career I have developed a passion for educating families and making sure they feel supported throughout their feeding journey.
After having my own baby, I realized how difficult it can be to find practitioners that look at the whole picture when it comes to feeding and infant development. My passion is providing families and infants with a wholistic approach and developmentally supportive care in order to achieve optimal feeding skills.
I look forward to the chance of meeting you and your little one!
Services
Home Visits
We understand the stress that can come with a new baby, that is why our sessions are provided within the comfort of your own home. This provides a unique view within a family’s natural setting and allows the family and infant to be in an environment that is most comfortable for them.
Virtual Visits
In the event that we are not able to schedule a home visit, we also offer virtual visits. Due to the nature of our services, this is not our first option for service delivery, however, it is available when needed.
Phone Consults
Schedule a phone consult between visits or anytime you have additional questions or concerns that you would like to speak to your therapist about. We are here to support you and answer any questions throughout your feeding experience.
